There is a lifesize concrete whale who sits in front of the Science Center of Ct. Built in the mid '70s and refurbished.
[Ed Messenger, 07/09/2000]The whale is actually outside of the Hartford Children's Museum -- and it's a walk-thru whale! Named "Conny," he is 60 feet long, built of iron and cement, and spurts water from his blowhole. The sperm whale is Connecticut's state animal.
